Mother's loveby ~themelville

Instead of spending my free time staring at the computer I decided to work on my art (and then forget about my homework because I got so absorbed). Ta da!

With my parents divorce comes the splitting of everything, including all the photo albums. This is one of the treasures I found. My mom with Misty, a collie my parents had before I was born. It may be my favorite photo of my mom ever. While working it everyone though it was me, even my mom thought it was me!

This is roughly 6x10 done on plain old sketch paper with graphite pencils. I used a grid system.

Steal and die, grrr.

Thank you so much! It's funny, I really don't see the similarity between my mom and I, but everyone else does! Even my mom thinks I look more like my aunt than her.
